Evaluation of Hydraulic Conductivity of Intact Rocks Using Constant Head Permeability Apparatus

This study developed an original constant-head permeability apparatus for rocks. can freely adjust the confining pressure and hydraulic (hydraulic gradient), directly measure runoff volume using electronic balance. conductivity more accurately than conventional method that measures a measuring cylinder. Second, this measured of Inada granite specimens (50 mm in diameter 40 length) under conditions apparatus. The test was performed at 22 ± 1°C temperature-controlled room. As result, we found granite, which apparatus, is quite similar to reported by previous transient pulse method. Furthermore, observed decline due consistent with observations study. Therefore, measurement system used established reliable. In addition, various seven intact rocks (granite, basalt, dacite, sandstone, tuff) presented how changes as increases.
